Alright, I tried a 10-day free trial of WoW and because I enjoyed it, I decided to buy the full game. I bought all three expansions (including the first game) but I haven't received WOTLK yet because of adverse weather conditions affecting the postal service. I have already installed the first game, then after installation it downloaded a patch for WOTLK and when I try to install the Burning Crusade, it stops towards the end of the installation between 70-80% with installer stopped responding. In the start menu, it states 'Wrath of the Lich King' manual and when I go to repair, it says 'detected expansions: Wrath of the Lich King'. What the hell is going on? I thought it was simple: Install the first game and then all expansions in order, but when I open the game to play it, it downloads a 8.3GB Cataclysm update. So I guess the real question is: What's going on? Why does it say WOTLK detected when I haven't installed TBC yet, and why is it downloading a Cata update when I have only installed the first game?
I'd like to say that the games are completely new and sealed by the way.
