Why can't i log in to world of warcraft?

Default Why can't i log in to world of warcraft?
I played WoW today and went I went out to lunch I clicked exit game and didn't wait the 20 seconds cos I was in a hurry.
When I got back I typed my user and pass and when I tried to log in it said something like "Unable to connect. Please try again later. If you problem continues to persist, please open technichal support"

Help??
