Whats the best Race(s) / Class(es) for World of Warcraft at late 2010.?

Currently planning on playing that game again and I want to know this so I can make a good choice on my character. I don't wish to make a character and find out it sucks later. Did this once before so this time asking ahead of time. So what Races/ Classes would be the best choices at this time?
