Do World of Warcraft's graphics suck?

I am looking into subscribing to WoW and downloaded the ten day free trial onto my laptop. I noticed that the graphics.... arent great even on ultra settings. I have an i5 processor, 4Gb of RAM, 64 bit operating system, and like 512Gb of video/graphics memory. Is it my system that is causing this? or are WoW graphics just not great? Also I have played Lord of the Rings Online and the graphics are pretty sweet.
