World of Warcraft Prot Warrior Statweights and Theory Crafting?!?
Hello and thanks in advance for your help!
Basically I just got my warrior to level 85 and upon searching Google I was unable to find a definitive answer to the following questions.
I'm interested in protection warrior defensive and threat generation statweights. For example what would be the ideal range to aim for in the following stat brackets for entry level heroic dungeon difficulty and a brief theory craft of how these mechanics work so that I can work out the numbers for future gearing projections.

•Block:
•Mastery:
Now I don't know if it holds merit for warriors but I read that Protection Paladin's should have a bare minimum or 12 parry, 12 dodge, and 50 block. However I do believe when considering the "Hold the Line" talent that Parry becomes more valuable then dodge. I do not know if this would affect the ratio in which I would need to comfortably be able to tank heroic dungeons but in the back of my mind I believe it would. Is there a solid mathematical equation that I can use to figure this out? I appologise but I have never been much of a math guy but given an equation I can follow I would be able to solve it. Also I know that mastery is an absolutely vital stat and should be stacked on every piece of gear if possible. Ive found that this is the primary means to raising a warriors block value, among other things.
Onward to Threat Generation Statweights!

On some of the forums I read that Expertise trumps hit as far as which should be capped first for threat generation but then I also read that Expertise is not as important to cap as it used to be which I found to be contradictory and a bit confusing. I am also assuming that Strength would play a big roll in threat generation but find that its significantly lacking on all tanking related plate gear so i'm assuming that maybe it is not as prevalent as expertise and hit to achieve high amounts of threat? Yes that was a question ;-D
To sum up my question I need a balanced list for the following stats to set as my goal that would maximize threat generation with a solid tank.
•Dodge
•Parry
•Block
•Mastery
•Hit
•Expertise
•Strength:
And if it's not too much trouble a mathematical equation to calculate each of these scales taking into consideration diminishing returns and whatever else may come into play and manipulate the scale such as talents or any other influences that are viable.
