World of Warcraft: When do warlocks start to get good?

I have a level 42 goblin warlock, and i like the uniqueness of the class, and its very fun to level. But i find myself not doing as much damage as many of the other classes, but i do see very high dps on youtube video's for warlocks. When do they start changing over to that?
