Well I created my first tank on wow and he is a warrior level 8 but I thought tanks were suppose to take a lot of damage befor dying and my guy comes close to dying very time he tries to kill a guy his level so am I doing something wrong?

Well, you are only level eight so your warrior won't have the ability to play the role of a tank as effective as if you were, say, level 50. Just wait it out and level as fast as you can and when you obtain a higher level, it will be much easier to tank. Good luck!
