I want to make a priest and later in end game want to heal and do DPS. My friend discourages me from making one because he doesn't like certain dps specs unless their higher than him on the DPS meter. He also tells me I won't really benefit the guild much if I go dps because he's a geared shammy and will prolly dps more than me.

Im taking an interest in this class, I'm level 12 and kinda liking the class. I don't mind healing too cuz that's fun but he wants me to stay that spec cuz that's what most guilds want priests to do.
