im just making a shaman and im going to make it a restoration shaman. but i am wondering if i should wear cloth armor because it has good stats or leather with good armor? i am thinking cloth because i am not going to be fighting but i just want to make sure i have the right choice. and is there any leather armor with good restoration stats?

o ya i am on trial so i can only go to lvl 20 but i am going to be buying the game really soon.

for the most part stick with cloth unless you find some leather with better intelegence then the cloth it could replace.

Are you going to be leveling through PVE, dungeons and questing? if so cloth is just fine if the stats
are better than the leather. You'll need Intellect, spirit, stamina, crit, haste for leveling at 85 you'll have to find a way to balance these stats. And at level 40 you can upgrade to wearing mail armor so if you're wearing full mail armor and train from your class trainer for mail, this can boost some of your stats. Yes with the new quests in cata it'll be easier to find leather armor with the stats your looking for. That's fine just enjoy your leveling experience and once you buy the full game you can continue your journey
