WoW: Is a rogue hard to play?

I don't know if I should play rogue or paladin. I'm not sure which is more fun, pvp and raiding. I feel like paladins get to use cool spells and have awsome axes and can heal and have longer fights, but their so many pally's out their, while rogues are cool ninjas in disguise. I just want something fun and not boring and get big dps numbers.
