I'm moderately new to WoW, and I am starting my main and was wondering which would be better, Paladin or Rogue?
I would be doing PvE at first but when I get to a rather high level I would like to start PvP.
Which would be better? I like the rogue because of invisibility but the Pali can live through anything.
Plus what would be the best professions for them both?

If you're unsure of what to go with, choose the pally. They are more flexible and can fill any of the three roles (given the proper spec). Rogues are great fun, but are not very flexible...dps and running away is all they can do.

As for professions, if it is your first toon you may want to go with two gathering professions. This allows you to build up your gold supply faster than you would normally be able to and supply any subsequent toons you make with raw supplies.

I had a human Paladin among other toons but never a rogue. Paladins are ridiculously easy to level compared to all toons (I believe they are the easiest). Like the above poster said, they can fulfill all roles too.

Unless you specifically like something (or everything) about a rogue, I would go with the paladin. I loved mine (heals/dps).
