leveling/raiding question for world of warcraft cataclysm?

Hi there,
I am planning on abandoning my main and leveling a goblin in cataclysm. If start fresh will I not get to 85 in time to experience the first raid they release? Because I want to start over and experience all the new stuff, as well as I am tired of playing what I play, but i want to be there close to the beginning of the start of raiding. Thx.
