An idea on how to encourage BC and Old world raids in WoW?
Personally I"m all for classic raids since I started the game only a few months back. As for those who been with WoW since BC and pre-BC they feel obligated not to even touch those classic raids since they serve no purpose both time and gear wise.
But a thought that might captivate some interest is if you run an old world raid (like say Zul'Gurub or Blackwing Lair) and loot Tier set gear, this gear becomes account bound and BoE as well. I know its cheating since you can grind the raid solo @ 80 and get full Tier set gear but the benefit is you''ll see more PUG'ing and more interests.
Another idea is similar to weekly raid but available to those who are leveled 58-79. This will be easier for someone to collect the achievements faster rather than wait till they're 80 and solo it and not only that be more encouraged to collect Tier set gear.
I would vouch for the second idea since it would be more probable than the first. Your thoughts are appreciated. Thank you.
some great advice and key points there. Heroic weekly old world raids would be more encouraging as well as a non-heroic for pre-80. Truthfully, you are right pre-BC gear is obsolete for hybrid classes like Shamans and maybe they should offer gold instead and rid the old Tier set gear? Sounds fair enough.
