For WoW, is it better to raid or to be in one of those relaxed type guilds?
I'm very excited with Wrath coming out Thursday..but now I'm to a point where I need to decide what I want to do. I've played since release. I raided every lvl 60 instance except Naxx, BWL, and AQ40.
For BC, I felt like I should take a break and I sat back in a small guild with some close friends and only did Kara and ZA(Past 3.0 on ZA). I had a lot of fun, but I found myself bored and often frustrated that nothing was happening.
So now, with a relatively fresh start..I'm considering my options. Do I break from my friends guild to join more of a raiding type environment? Or do I stay here and just hope for the best.
I've done both and they both have their advantages. I'm looking for scheduled fun. I like PvP, but PvE just seems more linear. I enjoy being busy in game. In my peak with BC I was running 3-5 heroics a day. I want that again, but I want to mix in the 10-25 man stuff as well. The 5 man stuff I will always have covered.
My decision will determine how I level and what I focus on. Fun leveling, or making it a job to get to lvl 80 so I can start amassing gear to get ready for the new raid content.
"also the lvl 60 raids you did were AQ20, ZG, and MC? thats not a lot really. No Offense."
Sorry, didn't feel it necessary to elaborate. But I had three level 60 characters that I raided with at every reset. You missed Onyxia as well as the world bosses and summoned bosses in Silithus. So technically I raided about 6 days week. And back then the raids didn't take 2 hours to clear, at least not usually(that's instances, not the world dragons/Ony).
