How do I form and mold relationships in WOW that are conducive to endgame raid
progression? I am trying to run a raiding guild and often find that people leave after playing for so often, or people stop playing after or leave your guild when you have real life things come up (I went on a trip to New York and then got married a week later and the week after that we were missing several guild members)
I guess I just want a raiding guild that goes every week and perseveres and clears content. I want to be near the top of my server when it comes to endgame progression and I want to turn some heads and inspire others. I have been playing since Burning Crusade and let me tell you, running this thing takes a lot more than dumping time and money into it. It takes a lot more than devoting time and personal attention.
I feel like there is something I am missing but I am not sure what it is. I think part of it is community and helping hands - and when people leave it is damning to our collective efforts.

I guess part of this is understanding behavior of others - how do you evaluate people based on the limitations of the World of Warcraft game interface and determine if they are people that are liklely to help out and lead when the need arises. Also, how do you attract and retain members? My solution has always been to pug raids - this raises awareness and helps build your organization provided you can perform well (though this is based on the competency of the people you bring in)
