would i just do it like im playing wow or is there a special way to log on to the ptr
yes that helps, but i downloaded the client about 2 or 3 times successfully but i still dont see the ptr icon? i dont know what to do now?
well i finally got it just kept on downloading it finally worked thanks for the help

to access the PTR, you need to use that PTR cliente you downloaded. If the shortcut icon isn't on your desktop (I assume it isn't since your asking this) go into your directory and go to the folder where your World of Warcraft files are stored (genericly this is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft and look for the launcher for the test realm, the PTR files should have their own subfolder, shouldn't be too hard to find.

Now just go ahead like normal, logging in with your username/password. Your transfered character however could take up to a week or more to be processed and actually transfered, but you can still create a fresh new lvl 1 character until then.
