i was just wondering when i download the ptr will it go in my WoW file or dose it make its own file?

because i kept cancelling the ptr download and i want to make sure it dosnt have like a few files i was able to download in the WoW file that could cause and glitches of things like like, Thanks
Basicly all i want to know is if canceling the ptr after half the download could passible make my retail WoW mess up anything in gameplay, ty
