I'm restarting WoW and want a better opening. I started a troll rogue and he's at 6 now in Durotar. I have experience in the area and know just how much copper ore is available- and it sells at 6-7 gold a stack of 20. And once I had a orc warrior who ended up having 60 ores on him (which, not thinking of the auction house, I used on smithing).

I know that, for the first 20 levels, that huge influx of cash can rock. But what other professions can gain well? I've heard that nearly all crafting professions can generate huge incomes (enchanting, engineering, alchemy), but at the low levels they are reliant on materials. And those materials are expensive and difficult to obtain in some cases.

What's a good profession to do? Just gathering with mining and herbalism till I have over a hundred gold or so? And then get rid of one to get a crafting profession? If so, which one to lose and gain? Advice PLEASE
