Hi! I am a level 42 paladin and leveling really fast because of using the Recruit-A-Friend x3 leveling speed multiplier. I happened to not choose my primary professions yet, and I am considering 2 combinations: mining and skinning, or mining and jewel crafting/blacksmithing.

First of all, does any of the 3 combinations significantly make more money than the others right now and in end-game? If yes, then which one is it?
Secondly, in case mining/skinning makes more money than mining/crafting, are those 2 crafting professions more worthy at the end-game than the extra money, or not?
Oh, interesting! So, those 2 crafting professions in fact cost me instead of profiting! The question completely changes then; are the end-game benefits worth the money sacrifice? Or should I just go with skinning and mining? I have got much more patience for gathering actions than for running in long processes of crafting product and skill perfection. I am not much of a dedicated MMO player.

So, should I go with mining/skinning and get a little money instead of having some complicated crafting skill?
