Can I get some insight into both of these classes PvP and PvE wise. I hear Priests are really good healers, but I haven't really heard about them PvP wise. Now Mages I hear are excellent at PvP, but at the same time, average in PvE. Thank you

priests and mages r both really good

priests can heal AND dps which can be helpful in pvp and pve/raid situations

mages do INSANE damage in both Pve and pvp..they do so much pve damage they were actually nerfed a bit to slow them down.

in pvp mages r pretty op as well.

really its up to u..both classes are really good.. personally i like mages. priests heals r DECENT so if ur gunna play a priest ur better off Dpsing.

Whoever told you mages are average in pve, either lied or doesnt know how to play. I top the charts almost everytime on my mage and she is not geared as well as others.

Like the previous poster my main is a druid, but I have heard good and bad with priest heals. The one thing u can say about priest heals is they are the only class with 2 healing specs. But since cata i know many priests who have had mana issues.

Not sure if you are looking to level a toon from lvl 1. If so u also want to look at how ur leveling will go. Remember as a mage u are dps and only dps. A priest can q for heals which will speed up ur dungeon wait times. I personally like mages a lot. Ive not really even got into pvp much with mine, but when i do, I do pretty decent without even having pvp gear. And like I said, mage pve damage is insane. Arcane can be so easy once u learn the tricks and u will kill the damage/dps charts.

Priests can become OK damage. If they are shadow priests. You can switch between heals and dps. Mages can conjour and PvP.
