Ive been reading many different websites and I'm not quite sure which would give higher dps...haste or spirit...this is the link to my character.

I pretty much reforged all my items to spirit because it also gives hit

The spell hit rating for all classes is 17% if you want to raid. This provides you with 100% chance to hit mobs up to 3 levels above yours (88 atm). Keep in mind that all raid bosses are treated as level 88.
As a shadow priest you get to convert all the spirit found in your gear to hit rating.
Hit rating is the most valuable stat you have if it's under 17%. After that it's completely useless.
If needed you can either reforge to hit rating or spirit. For you as a shadowpriest it's completely the same.
When you get that 17% (or 0% chance to miss on level 88 - mouseover your hit rating, under the spells tab on your character sheet) you want to go for haste.

I would suggest you read the forums of Elitist jerks. They have provided accurate and useful information to me and a lot of friends for over 4 years now. You can find a guide for every class/spec there as well.

I looked at your gear not too bad. Make sure you hit cap for raids ok, but if wanna match dps get a add to let you kno to rebuff dots that helps a lot. Stack int for gems, and sprit for reforge. Go haste about twenty percent, if not good try five more and always practice on dummies. Hope this helps did this to my priest.
