I have a protection paladin as my main and I've been out of wow for over a year, so I wanted to ask a couple questions before I jump back in.

1. How popular is protection, vs ret and holy?
2. Are prot paladins considered OP?
3. How do they compare to the other class tank builds these days?
4. am I going to have to listen to lolpaladin complaints all the time?

(I made him as my first character back when I started, before I knew anything about what classes were better than others)
