I understand I can somehow sync my Windows Media Center with my Xbox. What does this mean? Will I be able to do anything on my Xbox that I can do on my PC, or is it real gimmicky, only letting you do some things?

I want to be able to watch movies I have steaming online but on my Xbox. I have a Wireless G router and the wireless adapter for the Xbox. And I already know that I can buy a USB adapter for my PC and hook my HD to a computer and use that as my moniter and have a wireless network on my HD, but I am just looking for all options.

So far, I have been able to sync my Media Center on my Xbox, but I can't really do anything with it yet. Do I need to set it up first?

Please walk me through the what's and how's of this thing. And, is this whole process worth it? Do you recommend it? Thank you!
