Friend won't get added in wii address book?

Default Friend won't get added in wii address book?
I have a friend, we both exchanged Wii Address numbers and added each other, but he won't show up as registered, and when I try to e-mail him, it says "Confirming registration... You must register one another to be able to exchange messages" It has been like this since yesterday, can somebody help me please?
