Default Help!? World of Warcraft addiction. I can't stop going back?

I'm 21 (Yes yes I know) And I've been playing for about 4 years now and I cannot seem to quit. Every time I quit I cancel my subscription, delete my characters, Give away all my items and gold on those characters in case I file for accidental deletion if I am to return. I un-install the game I destroy my disks but about a month later I'm back. without fail. I've been trying to quit for about 8 months and I KNOW that my life goes straight downhill whenever I start playing. I focus my attention completely on the game and it becomes my life. I put everything off to play the game. I used to be an avid reader and now I haven't picked up a book in years. How can I kick the habit once and for all!? Any tips no matter how small are most welcome.

My partner and daughter are both addicts of wow/
I happened on a episode of super nanny that freaked me out and there was a 10yr old who played until the early hours on wow and his mother was distraught. He spent so much time on there he had a fit and mood swings when he was deprived.
Any way jo surmised he was missing something in his life and that the game filled a whole that his private life was lacking and she advised he weaned himself of to 3 hours a day and went out with friends and family and found other mental stimulus.
Its hard when you have guilds and feiendships and goals to strive to and you come of to the real world.
I have had many an argument about V.R world vs real world and how they need to sort out there prioraties/

Grounding techniques could be a great help for you. Like, if you try and quit and you are feeling like starting again just use some of the techniques and it should help. Try different techniques and see what works best for you given your current situation, best of luck to you!

Sorry, but I couldn't help but LOL (league of legends :P) at that. Just play the game, but ground yourself to a period of an hour or HOURS. I got addicted to Dragon Nest, I completed the dungeons that were available and completed them on all difficulties including abyss, I got the max level in just a few days, I had tons of gold, I had completed most of the quests and I was playing on PvP like no tomorrow. I eventually told myself to pack it in and limited myself to two hours a day.
