So for Christmas my mom bought me the WoW game discs. I don't understand what the game discs are for, do I still have to pay for it online? Or if I buy the discs does that mean it's payed for, or is there still like a monthly fee and stuff? Like can someone please explain how all of that works? I don't know what disc it is either.

Yeah it is quite costly to get started, especially if u bought all the expansions at once, but yes once you install the game using the disks, u have to use a payment method (monthly, 3 months, 6 month deals) to play the game.

WoW is a great game, i have been playing for 5 years, still love it. There is a monthly fee though. The discs are not required, go to www.worldofwarcraft.com and make an account, once you have done that it will ask you to install the game, and since your mom bought you the game, you can put in the code that came with it (usually on the disc cases) to unlock the game instead of the demo

You have to pay monthly. IMO don't play WOW their are better mmorpgs out there

Well, World of Warcraft is a game where you have to pay $15 a month. Though your first month is free. The only thing is make sure your mom got the right discs because some are the expansions. There is a battle chest with the base game and the first expansion burning crusade. The second is Wrath of the Lich King. The last so far is Cataclysm.
