So i''m trying out WOW. I keep dying because I can't fight.. I have a human character with a sword. When I target an enemy I keep clicking the right button while aiming at the target, but the character only hits like once or twice (even though I'm clicking frantically) while the enemy keeps on attacking.
So that's how I get killed all the time, and it frustrtes me to no end.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Your character will only swing the weapon every X amount of seconds, depending on the weapon speed. This is called auto-attack, and does very little damage, as your main damage should be coming from spells and other attacks. Look at the bar on the bottom of your screen, there should be different spells/attacks/etc(different ones for each class) that will be your main source of damage. If you do not see any, go to your "Spellbook" and drag them down onto the bar. Over time, you'll learn which attacks are best, and which are totally useless, as well as the correct order to use them in.

There should be an attack called attack. Press it once so that it blinks. As long as it blinks the character will attack automatically. Each attack will take longer time if you use a two handed weapon. If you use an ability or spell, the auto attack will not end.

well, there is an auto-attack that you keep toggling, just click once to kill it, later when you get better and higher level, you get skills that can be used for strategy
