Default Can someone please help me understand World of Warcraft's PvP gear, PVE gear, and...

...how to set them up properly? Despite what all I have read about PVE an PVP gear, I seem to be failing in understanding the difference between the two, other than one is for environment and the other is for use against other players. Someone mentioned something about PVE gear not supposed to have gems or enchantments. As a level 85 Hunter, I am almost at my whits end because i seem to be missing something crucial but i cant seem to find it. I have a few JP items, like the Lightning-Charged Tunic, but it doesn't seem to be helping my case in my quest for tier gear and high dps. I hope one of you can help me understand what it is i might be doing wrong so that i can correct this and help other players.

PvP gear has stats made to improve survivability only; resilience, stamina, so forth.
Pve gear have stats meant for boss fights, high agility (in your case).

What you need to know: bosses require you to have a certain hit point rating, you'll need to look this up or mouse over to it on your stats sheet in the character panel (you need to match the number by the skull, don't go over it). You'll also need to look up a good spec and play guide, I'm sure you can find one on the Internet which will tell you exactly what buttons to push.

In order to be effective in PvP or PvE, you need to keybind EVERYTHING you use, it is much faster to hit a button on the keyboard than it is to move your mouse over and click it. Keyboard turning wont cut it either. You need to avoid as much damage as possible during boss fights, so you'll need to use the right clicker on your mouse to turn the other way quicker, and efficiently.

One more thing, be sure to look up and know the ins and outs of boss fights if you want to be apart of a successful raid guild.
