okay, im in my 2nd year of highschool and i have not had a single boyfriend here. Guys just smile at me or compliment me or anything of that matter. not a single guy has asked me out. sometimes i get the feeling some of them like me, but after a while, they just go away without even bothering. yesterday my friend told me that guys told her that they like me, but im a good girl and they don't want to ruin my reputation. yes, i am a good girl with straight A's and im a cheerleader, but i just want a boyfriend to be happy with.. I dont know what to do..and im starting to feel stupid.
what do i do?

I had the exact same problem in high school. In my senior year, I was finally told "it's because they're afraid to ask you." Yeah, that really made me feel good.
Guys told me I was pretty and I made good grades so everyone knew I was smart.
Honestly, they're probably intimidated by you. If you're a cheerleader you are pretty and popular. But, if guys are saying they don't want to ruin your reputation, don't go out with them. Don't even consider those. Obviously, they're just out to find someone pretty they can screw. They aren't even worth your time.
If you like a guy that has shown some interest in you, show a little interest back. Sometimes, if a guy suddenly stops acting like he likes you, it's because he got the feeling he was bothering you or you just don't like him back. So, just be friendly. Let the guy make the first move and once you know you like him too, make a move back. Give a little and then it's his turn. And so on.
That's how I did it my senior year. I met this guy and made sure he liked me. Then I did what I told you and it ended up working out perfectly.
Just be friendly, but again, don't go out with anyone who says they're worried about ruining your reputation. That's not something they should say about someone they truly like.

Omg!!I have had the same problems through middle school &I just started High School a year ago & the exact thing has happened..I have straight A's also & a very good rep...hmm..I don't know I just think they are intimidated by us or something..but one day a guy won't be intimidated by us & we'll haveour time(:

i asked the same question and wut i was told is that those guys r probably intimidated or too shy to ask you out cuz they think yer really pretty.dont know if this helps but hope it does

I feel your pain! I was the same way during my sophomore year in high school. They obviously think that you're cool. The guys can tell that you value yourself and that you're not going to date just anybody. That's a good thing! Having a reputation like that will help to weed out the user losers. Work on getting to know guys as friends first and then the gems that like you for you will feel comfortable to make a move. Good luck ;]
