k so i just want to know how to do people get those elementals to follow them around? cause ive seen a bunch of people running around with the elementals and when i went on my mage i couldnt figure out how to get one.

You train with your trainer for it. I had to go to my mage trainer at lvl 48 to get the elemental, I had got her up to lvl 48 before they even had the patchs started for CATA

I presume you are talking about the Water Elementals.
With Cataclysm, Mages who pick to specialize in the Frost talent tree will now receive the Water Elemental as their base spell in that tree.

Essentially, at Level 10 you will receive this spell if you pick the Frost talent tree. The pet stays alongside you permanently until you decide to dismiss it.
