Default World of Warcraft Mage, advice?

I am a level 25 blood elf mage. i know in Silvermoon ciry you can buy a mount for your blood elf mage, but my question is What level do you have to be to buy your first mount?
Money shouldnt be a problem for me, just need to know when i can buy one and how i would go about buying one?
How much are they roughly though?
and am i able to pick a better mount if i have more gold?

This is a copy/paste from your other question I found. I'm not sure which you'll check, so I'll put it here as well.

"I believe you can learn the Apprentice Riding in any major city. However, you'll only be able to purchase the level 20 mounts from your respective race vendor (blood elves in this case). The blood elf city is Silvermoon City. You can find the trainer and mount vendor southeast of the south entrance to Silvermoon City. This link will show you a map of the location:

I think you'll need roughly 3-5 gold to purchase the riding and the mount. If you've got the money, it's definitely worth buying."

You won't be able to buy a "better" mount in terms of speed. At level 20 you'll have a certain model of the hawkstrider available to you. This model will come in 3-4 color schemes that you can pick from. Each one does the exact same thing, but you may like the appearance of one over the others. At level 40 there are a few more mounts you'll be able to purchase that go a bit faster than the level 20 mounts.
