I currently have World of Warcraft, BC & WOTLK but not Cataclysm yet because i just started playing. I have several characters approaching lvl 60 and need to know where i can get an epic gear set. I have read many blogs online but most were out of date.
So if your an expert and can point me to the correct dungeon or raid that i can get my first epic set from in the current 4.0.3 version of the game then You Rock!

Thanks for the amazingly quick reply. I thought that might be the case. Since i plan on buying Cataclysm once i hit the 70's i guess i should wait. I don't want to waste my time farming when i could be leveling to the cap. Makes since. Thanks again!

Honestly in my opinion the epic sets are going to be more work than they are worth until you reach level 85. When the expansions come out they make the last expansions epic gear obsolete in about 3 hours of work. For instance, when WOTLK came out you could pick up green gear within a level or two that was better than the epic gear people had on.

I may be wrong as I have never been a hard core end game gear person.
