I've just started WOW like about two months ago, I play pretty much on and off, but I like to know what I'm doing. I've rolled a Retribution Paladin and got it up to 39 (I decided to stop playing with it for now), and have also rolled a Hunter and Rogue who are both level 22.

As it stands, I currently like to PVE a lot, by that I mean general quests (usually solo) and instances, I very rarely ever PVP unless it's asked of me. Having played both Rogue and Hunter for the same amount of time, I've come to conclude that I enjoy the Rogue more, I get to stealth, I don't have to manage a pet and I've also heard that a bad Rogue will always do better than a bad Hunter end game. With that in mind, it also frustrates me more because of the amount of damage we take thanks to our leather armor, I have probably died 100 times more than I have a Rogue than I did a Hunter.

So what I'd like to ask is, is it worth continuing my Rogue or continuing my Hunter ? I don't mind either play style (Melee or Ranged) it's really just the little things like being able to get by without pulling my hair out.

And, just in case I do decide to roll a Hunter, are they a viable option in PVP ?

I don't play WoW anymore, nor did I do much on it with classes except Hunter. But I think in your case, if you like Rogue you should stick with it. I can't stress enough on the part about keeping a lot of money in case your armor is damaged from dying though. But if you can put up with all the dying and are able to repair your armor when it needs it, it'll go far for you. I think in higher levels you won't die so often though. You probably just need better armor.

Have fun on that game for me, I quit due to how expensive the monthly payments were getting. xD;

i have both, i've leveled them up to 85, and i can't answer this question. they're both amazing classes.

PVP all depends on the skill of the player. Hunter pets are nothing special, they offer me a victory rush at best on my warrior. Hunter's themselves are nothing special either in PVP, but then again, skill of the player.. My first character i took to max level was a rogue back in BC, i continued with him until WoTLK. It is fun to stealth around and get out of many situations that would leave any other player dead. But then again i am absolutely terrible at deciding which class i like best. So it's all about personal preference.
