I'v played allot of hunters!

Pros:
Very Easy to level, the easiest and fastest class to level by FAR.

Good DPS in PVP, they output pretty high DPS

Tracking- they can see other players etc, and even hidden people on the minimap

Do well in PVP, they don't need to get close to enemy's, so can just fire from afar while they enemy is distracted.

Good first character- they are easy, and allow you to enjoy leveling without getting killed allot.

Cons:
Fairly similar throughout the leveling, they play the same at level 15, as they do at level 85, but with less flashy skills etc.

Without their pet they are screwed in PVE- if you're pet dies, unless you run pretty quickly or feign death, you're going to die soon aswell.

Not that looked for in groups; they are DPS, and everyone is DPS now, and can be a liability if they don't control their pet properly.

Pet control can be annoying- sometimes your pet my aggro allot more than you can handle, and wipe your group- doesn't make you popular.

Spec:
I'v leveled with all 3 specs, I'm currently leveling a marksmanship hunter, it's easly the most fun to play, and if you're pet is killed, you still have a chance to survive. Good PVP spec too.

Another good leveling spec is beast mastery, but without your pet you die, this spec is rubish for PVP.

Survival; not very good for leveling, as it focuses on traps and melee- hunters arn't melee characters.
Does okay in PVP at higher levels, but I'v never liked it,

I recomend rolling a marksmanship hunter, and when you're a high enugh level, duel specking with beast mastery aswell.

Hey,

Pros:

Very easy to level, very fast and very little downtime + deaths.
Very good at PvP and crowd control in PvP.
High output and burst damage for PvE.
Provides good buffs to the group (Aspects etc)
Very customisable, you can pick your own pet and name it whatever you want, different to warlocks.

Cons:

As they are easy to level, every server is crammed full of them
You will not be saught after in groups, due to the sheer amount looking for a certain amount of spots.
You will not recieve much loot, due to the amount.
They get repetative, after running around and killing stuff with the same moves over and over.
In PvP you will generally be targetted before any other DPS class because of your traps etc.

If you need any more help feel free to pm me
~Chris
