Hey all

Okay so i have a level 34 priest currently speced as discipline... might help to know that my "goal" for wow is to become an amazing healer

So im just wondering what are some tactics to heal well? Right now when we go into a fight i just keep renew on the tank and throw out a shield if he is still taking a bit of damage, then if any dps are taking damage i put renew on them too. thats normally enough, but there come thimes when im throwing out renew on 3 people with shields too followed by pennance and flash heals, then mana tends to be in short suppy.

Basically what i want to know is the best way to spec my character... like which talents to chose, which dual spec to go with (Disc/holy or disc/shadow.... im thinking disc/holy since all i want is healing?).

one thing that i really want to know, is how to get LOTS of mana? i know spec gear with intellect, but is there any way for me later in the game to get a hell of alot of mana? like for a good healer to look at me and go "whoa, that guys got tons of mana!!"

I'll think ill stop now :P so basically: any kind of tactics, which talents, which dual spec, and any way to get massive amounts of mana?

Disc/holy dual spec will take forever to level. You should go either Disc or Holy for healing and Shadow for leveling. Use healbot (you can download it from curse.com). Bubble everyone at the first pull. Heal with flash heal, penance and renew.

You want as much spirit as you can get for mana regen and intel for mana. I've have 94k mana and still run out.

BTW gnomes have more mana.

you need to up your spirit rating on your gear <helps you regen mana faster>. the mana level will eventually come, and do holy/ shadow. your glyphs will help to- they can extend mana, give temp mana and can help boost healing prowess.
another idea is to ask nicely in trade chat- yes there will be trolls- but you can get good ideas from some of those folks.
i said holy/ shadow because you need a spec to level with.
