Default If Hillary Clinton Wanted the Democratic Nomination in 2008, Couldn't She Have...
...Just Taken It? All she had to do was threaten the DNC and say, "Look, if I don't win, I'll run as an Independent." She wouldn't have won the Presidency as an Independent, but she would have won enough votes to deny Obama the Presidency. That would have been enough for Pelosi and company to give her the nomination.
