I want to play college basketball, Can someone help me?
Am I good enough to play NAIA mens basketball?
I am a 6'1" 185 combo guard looking to live my dream and play college basketball. I am in my first year at a JuCo majoring in Graphic Design and looking to transfer somewhere and play basketball. I did not play varsity basketball for my HS(the coaches were awful and making the team was a matter of politics not talent). I played 2 years on the football team at QB and WR. I was recruited by mostly d3 schools and a few d2 schools gave me looks but got no scholarship offers. I graduated HS in June 2008. I have been playing basketball since I was three. My father, my uncle and my grandfather all played college basketball. Even though I have not played on the varsity level in HS, I am very confident I can play college ball. I have always been in at least one league year-round ranging from rec to AAU to Jr. NBA. I took a year off from school and was working full time so I could pay to go to school. I play basketball for 2 hours a day doing drills, conditioning, and taking 200-400 shots daily. After this year I am looking to transfer and play. The last league I played in I was the starting shooting guard and led the team in points, assists, FT% ,and steals. (12 ppg, 7 apg, 92% FT, 2 stl/gm) I am an excellent shooter, good passer, great defender, good ball handler, a leader, can create my own shot, excellent at moving w/o the ball, great at running the fast break and can finish at the hoop. I am athletic and energetic and also a good student(3.8 GPA and 1130 SAT(M+CR)). I don't have film of me playing but am looking to get a scholarship to play basketball. Can I play NAIA ball? If so, what schools should I look at?
