@Darkie: Have you noticed the success of English football in the past 5 years? In each of the 5 years of the CL, there have been at least one English team in the final (Liverpool, Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal).

Semi-finals too:
2004-05- Liverpool, Chelsea
2005-06- Only Arsenal but Chelsea would have definitely been in the final except they faced mighty Barcelona in the first round
2006-07- Liverpool, Man U, Chelsea (of course mighty Milan wins)
2007-08- Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool
2008-09- Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal (only they lost to treble-Barcelona)

The only other teams besides Barcelona and Milan to make it to the semi-finals of the CL are Villarreal and PSV. Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool have been almost consistent in the CL.
@Darkie: you have to look at the whole CL in general, There is only one team from La Liga that can consistently perform (Barcelona, no duh). In the past 3 years the semi-finals in the CL had 3 English teams each time! Doesn't that say anything?
