Does playing football for a very very long time make your legs and mostly your
ankle hard as as rock ? So I've been playing football for almost 12 and half years now and very good at it. I am a pretty good striker of the ball. I hit hard. But what i wanted to know and haven't realized yet is that when you've been playing football regularly for very long does it prevent injuries on your ankle and other parts of the legs. I asked this because i've been doing martial arts (mma) for 3 months now and in sparring i've been caught in a ankle lock several times and leg locks. And I watched other people tap out (give up) due to that move whilst I was just laughing it off. I asked this in the martial arts section and they said it does not hurt when applied straight away but it the ligaments gets torn-ed and damaged well after it is done. That is why people tap.
So does football makes your ankle very hard ?
