Yes, you can. Alchemy and herbalism are primary professions. Archaeology, first aid, fishing, & cooking are all secondary professions. You can pick up all of the secondary professions if you want, I have all of them on my Rogue. Since you are a druid you can do without first aid, but if you want it you can pick it up. Archaeology is just for fun. Everyone seems to get it for epics like the Bug mount, which I can't remember at the moment. If you pick up archaeology then you want to keep all the fragments you find until your skill stops leveling from finding them. I think it stops at 100. Up until then you can lvl your skill from just finding fragments, then after that you can only lvl it by using the fragments to make something, but it goes up by 5 every time you make something. I'd also recommend keeping the scrolls you find for the epics.

Archeology is a "side" profession, like Fishing, Cooking or First Aid. As a Blood Elf Hunter, I do Herb and Alch. It's fun and challanging and you'll have to fish for things too but if you're a druid that means you can heal yourself( You get some Buffs too ). Alch allows you to make potions to increase your stats, restore mana and health+lots more. Although lots of druids do Alch and Herb, tailoring and skinning is also common.
